Privacy policy

Information we collect

You can browse the site without giving us any personal information. When you place an order we collect:

• your name,
• your e-mail address,
• your shipping address, and
• what you ordered and what you paid.

Payment details. You enter your card or other payment details on Stripe's checkout page, and Stripe processes the payment. BiblioRack never receives or stores your full card number. We keep only the payment reference Stripe gives us, so that we can match the payment to your order and issue refunds.

Messages. If you e-mail us, we receive your e-mail address and whatever you include in your message.

Technical information. As with any website, our server receives your IP address and basic browser information when you load a page. We use this to keep the site secure and to limit abuse.

Why we use it

• To fulfil your order and deliver it to you.
• To send you e-mails about your order: confirmation, shipping and refund notices.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To prevent fraud and abuse.
• To keep the business records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.

We do not send marketing e-mails, and we do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that need it to complete your order:

• Stripe, our payment processor, which handles your payment under its own privacy policy.
• Our e-mail delivery provider, which sends our order e-mails to your address.
• Our book supplier and the shipping carrier, which receive your name and shipping address so that your order can be packed and delivered.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use advertising or analytics trackers. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage so that it is still there when you come back. The only cookie the site itself sets is a sign-in cookie for our own staff, which customers never receive.

Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, where Stripe may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for the purposes above, including the tax and accounting records we are required to keep. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so unless we have to keep it for those legal reasons.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do so, e-mail us at info@bibliorack.com from the address you used for your order, so that we can confirm the request is yours.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date below. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
